Sr/Jr House
Design and Construction: Studio North Design + Build

During my internship at Studio North, my role in the Sr/Jr House project was to create presentation drawings and retouch photography.
The Sr/Jr House is designed for a mature couple as a home to live for the rest of their lives. Age-in-place features are seamlessly integrated with final finishes, and take into account physical factors such as wheelchair accessibility and visibility as well as organizational clarity for mental wellness. A simple palette of white walls, birch plywood, perforated steel, and carefully curated natural lighting give the space warmth and serenity. Taking advantage of Calgary’s year-round sun, the house features a double height solarium space where the clients can tend to plants and watch them grow.
